COVID-19 Precautions

DFW Airport’s top priority is the health and safety of all stakeholders, including our contracting partners and their teams.  On March 29, 2020, Dallas County issued an amended shelter in place order, which contains specific requirements for Dallas County businesses and residents engaged in public works construction projects.  >> Dallas County COVID-19 Order

On March 30, the City of Dallas issued its Third Amended Emergency Regulations, adopting most of the County’s order. >> City of Dallas Coronavirus Media Release

DFW Airport recommends all contractors and sub-contractors adhere to applicable orders and guidelines issued by the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth, and Dallas and Tarrant Counties.

Additionally, DFW Airport reminds all contractors of OSHA’s General Duty Clause, Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act which states,  “Each employer shall furnish to each of his employees a place of employment which is free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees.”  See attached the latest OSHA “Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19” as a resource in preparing job sites.

We understand these are unprecedented times, everyone’s support and teamwork are greatly appreciated as communication and collaboration is critically important.  Thank you for your commitment to the health and safety of our construction community.
