Customs Process

When you’re flying internationally, we want your arrival at DFW to go as smoothly as possible. We’ve designed our customs areas to maximize traveler flow, dramatically reduce wait times and get you to where you need to go.

Ask yourself these questions and determine which color best suits your status.

1. Who am I?
2. Where do I go?
3. What do I do?

Global Entry & CBP Cashiers Office

We offer the Global Entry Program to speed frequent US citizen travelers through even faster lanes, skipping paper Custom declaration forms and traditional lines when reentering the USA. Global Entry Trusted Traveler Program is available at select airports nationwide, including DFW. If you’re a frequent international traveler, this program is your ticket to the fast lane.

Upon landing at DFW, Global Entry travelers bypass the passport control line and proceed directly to automated kiosks to answer Customs declaration questions. Then, they will be issued a ticket and directed to bag claim.

DFW's Global Entry office is also located at Terminal D, Lower Level, in the hallway just south of the International Arrivals area. Follow the overhead sign to Global Entry to a door with a "Department of Homeland Security" seal on it.

Global Entry Enrollment on Arrival Program

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has also launched Enrollment on Arrival at DFW for conditionally-approved Global Entry applicants to complete their interview, the final step of the Global Entry enrollment process, while clearing CBP processing. The program will shorten enrollment wait times for travelers. Customers returning from an international destination who have been conditionally-approved for Global Entry can have their enrollment interview conducted at CBP booths 35 or 36 in the Passport Control arrivals hall as part of their entry processing to complete their Global Entry enrollment.

CBP Cashiers Office
For those needing to visit the CBP Cashiers Office, please proceed to the lower level of Terminal D at D23, located to the left of International Arrivals. Items such as I-94 corrections, deferred inspection permits and all customs documents are handled at this office. The office is open daily, 7 days a week from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.
